Sweet Treats RWA Anthology 2023 – Lollipop

My stort story in this anthology “Bubblegum Kisses” came second in the 2023 Sweet Treats competition. It is a sweet story about reliving memories and getting to kiss your best friend’s brother, the guy you have crushed on for years. All stories in this anthology have the theme Lollipop and are sweet short stories.

Reputation Rescue – The Regent’s Menagerie Sweet Novella

The ailing Lord Grenfield has a favour to ask of his young neighbour, William Ashton: help his daughter, Lady Harriet Rothery, find a love match this season. William agrees willinginly, although the practicalities are somewhat difficult. William is the last person Harriet’s mother ever wants to see again, due to the misunderstanding with Harriet’s sister in an earlier season. Then there is also the matter of being madly in love with Harriett himself.

Lady Harriet Rothery loathes London and would much rather be out riding the fields of her family’s estate. Her one delight is visiting the Regent’s Menagerie, and the pink and grey galah from the colonies. Her longing for William Ashton has cooled due to the assumed jilting of her sister.

The die is cast when William and Harriet receive a galah each from the Regent’s collection. Can these headstrong former friends put aside their animosity for the sake of the birds?
